    Pare back, Pare down

What is the difference in meaning?

When can each word be used?

And please state if you are a teacher or student.

    Welcome to the forum.

Our member profiles clearly show if we are teachers or students. Just click on "Member Info" under each username.

Without context, we don't comment on individual phrases or phrasal verbs. After you have checked the two in dictionaries and online, try to use them both in a sentence, post it here and we can comment.
Remember - correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing make posts much easier to read.
