    we can use :He was leaving or
    He was left

    Roseta,

    "He was leaving" can be a possibility although you don't/wound't hear it that often.

    "He was left" is not correct as far as I'm concerned I would say "He has left or he is/has gone"

    Hi there!

    He was leaving is definitely correct. It's past continous tense whereas "He was left" is absolutely incorrect. He has gone is much better - present perfect tense
    .
