What do you call the amount of money paid to reflect the cost of replacing the insured property? Is it the insured sum, sum insured or insured capital?

1) Sum insured -OK?

2) Insured sum_OK?

3) Sum insurance-OK?

4) Insurance sum-OK?

5) Insured capital-OK?

1 :tick: 2-4 :cross: 5 might be used if you have insured a number of goods insured, and need to refer to one total that includes them all.

''The insured sum under the DPS will be increased from the current $36,000 to $44,000, without any increase in the premium rates." Would 'insured sum' be wrong in this sentence?

No, though 'sum insured' is what we'd normally expect.

I'm sure that there is a witty answer to that somewhere, but it escapes me at the moment.

Would it make sense to talk about reduced relative clauses as postmodifiers here?
