Thumbs up with: a determiner or preposition?

    Hello everyone,

I have got a quick question.
In Linguistics I need to draw four trees for the following sentence:

red shoes and socks with red dots

Can "with" be seen as a determiner in this context? Or is it rather a preposition?

    Thanks everyone. :)

    Welcome to Using English.
I don't see how "with" could ever be a determiner.
"With red dots" is, together, a prepositional phrase use as a modifier.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

She was wearing red shoes with socks with red dots. (Now it's a sentence.)

It's a preposition there for me.
