    Angry Present simple vs continuous

    Is there really more to:

    Present simple - I go - I eat - I drink

    Present continuous - I am going - I am eating - I am drinking

Present simple means you do a thing, but does not discuss time of when you do it. Present continuous means that at present time you are doing that thing that you do, or that you don't do, but it's one-off for now.

    Am I right ?

There's a lot more to it than that, for example:

I name this ship 'Postule'. - said at the moment of naming.
I am leaving for Spain tomorrow.
    I am writing a novel -
said while the speaker is clearly not writing anything.

No argument from me. In choosing the level of detail in my response, I used the questioner's apparent level of knowledge as evident from the way he phrased his question. I rarely believe there is one right answer. There is only a right answer "for purposes of this examination."
