Hello! Could you help me, please! When I use this sentence, I know that I have some mistakes. "My family has opened our own restaurant 15 years ago". But I don't know what is wrong. Could you explain me please.

    Re: present perfect or not

We don't use a past time marker with the present perfect.

My family have run our own restaurant for 15 years/since 1998.
My family opened our own restaurant 15 years ago/in 1998.

    ps. Welcome to the forum.
