    The first one's in the simple past. The second one's in the present perfect.
    I guess you know the the difference about where you use those two tenses.

    One of my favourite trivia facts about language. In Korean, you can't actually ask either of those questions simply as in English, but you have to say, "Where did you go and then come back from?"
