    Default Usage of 'although'

    Dear teachers,

    Does this sentence read well?

Although the oil produced has potential for many applications and can be used as synthetic fuels and feedstock for chemicals, it is highly oxygenated, viscous, corrosive, thermally unstable and chemically very complex.

    Many thanks

    Does it 'read well?'
It's quite a mouthful. You could consider:

The oil produced has potential for many applications and can be used as synthetic fuels and feedstock for chemicals. It is, however, highly oxygenated, viscous, corrosive, thermally unstable and chemically very complex.

Oh! Your suggestion was my original sentence and I was not sure about the 'however'.

    Thank you
