1. I'm cautious about meeting people in person that I met on the Internet.
2. I'm discreet about meeting people in person that I met on the Internet.

Are the both sentences correct?
Also, please tell me if there is any part to be improved in the sentences. Thank you.

As an NES but not a teacher, I would personally have no problem with either, other than the fact that they have very different meanings.

PS: I might consider changing "I met" to "I meet" or "have only met"

In these days of "Internet grooming", I would regard item 2 as being very, very dangerous behavior.

Thank you.
I meant a situation where the person thinks that it is dangerous to meet people in person that he/she meets on the Internet (so he/she doesn't want to do that.)
Should I use 1?
Why is 2 very dangerous? (I had thought 1 and 2 had similar meanings until you told me they were different.)

Yes. I would certainly recommend approach 1 - particularly for females.

"Cautious" tends to imply a "wary/very careful/guarded" approach in a public place, with others around for support in case of problems.
"Discreet" tends to imply a "clandestine/highly secretive" approach in a secluded location, with no immediately available support/ assistance.
