    Default Word Processor Issue

Hello, I've been posting on the forums a while now. Lately, however, I have been unable to use tab or return whenever I go to type a response. I like to format my posts so that they are easier to read and understand, and not being able to use either of these functions is a bit of a headache. I don't know if it's just me at this point, but I would appreciate any help or advice on the matter.

Does the problem only manifest itself on your word processor or does it happen with other programs?
    It could be many things.
Which word processor do you use? If MS Word, try downloading "Open Office", which is a free suite of programs that can read/write in Word/excel, PowerPoint etc formats.
If that experiences the same problem, then you may have to look at keyboard/keystroke recognition problems.

PS: Do you have 2 "return" keys? If so, does the problem occur with only one of them or both?
If using a laptop, do you have access to a USB (desktop) keyboard. If a desktop, try another keyboard.

Thanks for the response, Route21. The problem only manifests itself on this site. My return and tab key work just fine in programs like MS Word and Notepad. However, when I click Reply to Thread and attempt to write a response here, neither key works, I can only use space.

In a browser, Tab's function is to select links one after another without using the mouse. That's why tab is not working on the web interface.

I don't understand why Enter or Return wouldn't work however. Are you using a typewriter?

If they work on MS Word, it's not a keyboard problem per se.
If they work on other websites but not on UE, it's most likely a UE editor settings problem.

Go to the UE "User Control Panel" and, down at the bottom left, go to "miscellaneous options"/"Message editor interface".
    Select WYSIWYG.

Hopefully, that should cure the problem.
    Otherwise, run an antivirus check.

    Regards

I can't reproduce the enter/return problem- it works fine for me.

You can increase indent in the advanced editor, which is like tab.

I switched from WYSIWYG to Standard and now it's working fine. I'd like to thank everyone for their assistance.
I still can't help but wonder why WYSIWYG would crap out on me all the sudden after 2 or so years.
