    Default Enroll/ roll/ role

    Dear Teachers

I was told that there is a difference in the pronunciations of "roll" and "role", and "enroll" not not be pronounced as "enrole", is that true? From the dictionary, seems that "roll" and "role" are the same, is the true?

    Please advise.

    Regards

    Anthony the learner

    Default Re: Enroll/ roll/ role

Both the LPD and the EPD give the same transcriptions for roll, role and the second syllable of enrol/enroll.
