    Default appeal to force

    He had no other choice but to appeal to force.

    I cannot find in any dictionary to support the meaning of "using" in terms of "appealing to".

    Is it a natural use?

    Thanks for that. My first instinct was to see it as a mistake for a more common collocation like 'resort to force'.
