    Question 'results in' vs 'yields'

    Dear teachers,

    Do these read well?

    1. Combining equations 1 and 2 results in equation 3.
    2. Combining equations 1 and 2, it results in equation 3.
    3. Combining equations 1 and 2 yields equation 3.
    4. Equation 3 is obtained by the combination of Eqs. 1 and 2.

    Thank you

2 is wrong. The others are acceptable; my preference is 3 then 1 then 4.
