    Question Similarly

    Dear teachers

    Does this read well?

Similarly to my sister and my brother, I should also be given money for all I have done for this family.

    Thanks

    No.

Like my sister and brother, I should ...

You don't want to be treated "similarly to" them - you want to be treated exactly the same as them. Note that you don't need to repeat "my" in the first part.

I might actually reverse and slightly change the sentence in this case: "I should be given money for all I have done for this family, like my brother and sister have been".
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

    Re: Similarly

    How about these?

The same perks given to them, like money and other things, could be extended to me.
