If I were driving on First Street and then took a right turn at the intersection with Second Street (so 1st street and 2nd are at right angles). I think there are a few different ways of writing about this:

"I turned right onto 2nd Street."
"I turned right into 2nd Street."
"I turned right to 2nd Street."

Should I use 'onto', 'into', or 'to'?

Your first example would be more natural in AmE. And in your third example, after you turned right you were not yet on 2nd street , but proceeding in that direction toward 2nd street.
