Hi, is it possible to say: 'She's studying for a lawyer.'

    Re: Preposition 'for' usage

What is this sentence supposed to mean? If she's studying to become a lawyer, then no.
    I am not a teacher.

    Re: Preposition 'for' usage

As an NES but not a teacher, "She was studying for a law degree" would work for me.

    Re: Preposition 'for' usage

    She's studying for the bar.
She's studying for the law exam.

She's studying to be a lawyer.

She's studying for a lawyer = (very unnatural) She's studying on behalf of a lawyer.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
