    Default trigger

Could I use "trigger" as follows?

This accident triggered my deep thought.

    Thanks!

You can use "trigger" as a verb, but your sentence is somewhat unnatural.

The sight of the mountain triggered a very old memory.
Being accused of being boring triggered a violent reaction in the boy.
Remember - correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing make posts much easier to read.
