Thumbs up Third person singular or plural?

    Hi everybody,
I'm new in this Web Site and want to know which form is the correct one when talking about companies, corporations or businesses:
AT&T has too many employees, or
    AT&T have to many employees.
GE buys large amounts of paper, or
GE buy large amounts of paper
    Best Regards
    Jorge

    They are both correct :)

It entirely depends on if the company wants to be represented as a 'singular entity' or a more like a team.

Some like the plural some the singular.
It's like "team". Some say 'the team is dead'
some say 'the team are dead' when they want to emphasize disitinct members.

I agree with Sebaylias. But in this case,"AT&T have to many employees." is gramatically wrong because this sentence clearly imply "the whole company",not every member in it.So you'd better use singular verb here.
