Default is set to enter a new era

Does this "be set to" denote "be prepared to" or "be going to"? Is Hollywood already in such era or will it enter it?

13)With the growing popularity of these Korean stars, as well as actors from other ethnic groups, it is reasonable to believe that Hollywood is set to enter a new era of greater diversity in films and television.

Think of it more as "be ready to". I can be set to jump out of an airplane. I can have all of my equipment on and have said my last prayers, but this doesn't mean that I will jump. In WWII the Allies were set to invade Europe on June 5th, 1944. Because of stormy weather they didn't invade until June 6th. Being set to do something doesn't always indicate that the action will be carried out.

Thanks a lot! But the thing is this thread is hidden, not seen in my quick links again. This problem should be fixed soon, please! Administrators! I don't know how to contact them on this website. Where can I report this problem?
