    Hello, everyone
    Would you please help me with the answer to the following question? I think the first answer is correct, but I'm not sure of the second one. Please tell me. Thank you.

    When someone finishes high school, he or she gets ___________.
    A) a high school diploma B) a certificate of high school

    In Britain, there is no high school leaving certificate. Those young people who do not manage to pass any GCSEs at 16 or A levels (or a number of alternative examinations) at 18 leave school with nothing.

    Just to add to 5jj's post, even those who do pass some exams don't get an all-round high school certificate or diploma. They receive a separate certificate for each subject in which they passed the GCSE, AS Level or A Level exam.

    I have 10 certificates from when I left secondary school and 2 from when I left Sixth Form College.

    Well, I say "I have them" - if I'm ever asked to produce them for a job interview, I'll be in trouble. They are, um, somewhere.
    Remember - correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing make posts much easier to read.
