Red face I could see the faintest suspicion of a tear in her eyes

    Hi,

I could see the faintest suspicion of a tear in her eyes.
I saw the above sentence from Longman Dictionary on my Phone. I don't know what faintest suspicion of a tear means.

If that sentence is: I could see the suspicion in her eyes.
Then I can say that I understood.

Please help to explain the meaning of the original sentence.

    Thanks.
