Appropriate use of "which" and "That" will make a difference in English. Cud someone help me out to bring clarity in differntiating between using these two words with suitable examples/situations?

Default Re: A clarrification for correct usage

A sort answer is that 'that' can replace 'who/which' in defining relative clauses; it cannot replace them in non-defining relatives clauses.

The boy who/that stole the money was expelled.
The film which/that won the Oscar was made by amateurs.

Richard, who that stole money from the school office, was expelled.
'Casabonkers', which that won the Oscar, was made by amateurs.
