As bad as/ Bad as that woman's job was, it was enough to keep a small family alive.

    1. As bad as that woman's job was, it was enough to keep a small family alive.

    2. Bad as that woman's job was, it was enough to keep a small family alive.

Are the both same in meaning?

They both look the same to me.

If you meant to miss out 'As' in #2, they would both mean the same.

wotcha, please don't edit your post after someone has responded to it. Rover's response now seems pointless, though it was relevant when your second sentence read, as it did pre-editing: As bad as that woman's job was, it was enough to keep a small family alive.

Or, if you do edit it, there's a box which reads "Reason for editing". Fill it out if you are otherwise going to make subsequent replies look irrelevant.
