Default What tense is this sentence?

Hello everyone, and Thank you for reading my post.

I've been learning about tenses in English, but this time I need help!

I found this sentence: You have been given.

So first I thought it was a Perfect Simple Tense, but P.S.T = Subject + Have/Has + Past Participle

And that sentence has an extra word, "given".

Then I thought, maybe it is Present Perfect Continuos, but P.P.C = Subject + Have/Has + Past Participle +verb-ing

And You have been given = Subject + Have + Past Participle + Past Participle.

So.... I don't know what tense it is and I will appreciate if someone can help me.

    It's in the passive.

I gave you a cookie - past active.
You were given a cookie - past, passive.

I have given you a cookie - present perfect active
You have been given a cookie - present perfect passive

I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

bestofme, instead of sending your thanks in a separate message, just click the Like button, please.

The reason is that it is flagged as a new post, so we think you might have a follow-up question or something to add. Those of us with slow internet connections and/or old computers have to waste valuable time waiting for it to appear.

    Thank you.
