    Default more known

    Hi,

    1. In our country, Shakespeare is more known than your country.
    2. In our country, Shakespeare is much more known than your country.
    3. In our country, Shakespeare is known much more than your country.

    4.
Yamasaki was best known at the time for designing New York's World Trade Center.
    5. Yamasaki was known best at the time for designing New York's World Trade Center.

In my opinion, sentences are 2, 3, 4 are OK, but I would like to ask if the rest of them are OK or not according to you as a native person.

    Thanks.

#1 and #2 are possible, though (much) better known is more natural. #3 is not very natural.

    You'll hear 4 and 5. I prefer 4.
