▪ a wild guess (=one made without much thought or information) I made a wild guess and I got the answer right first time.
(dictionary - Longman DOCE)

1) Do I correctly understand the sentence:
I made a wild guess and I got the answer right first time =
I made a wild guess at the answer and guessed right on the first try ?

2)right is an adverb in the sentence, am I right?

Thank you.

Both sentences in 1) are correct and convey the correct meaning.

I agree that right is an adverb in your second sentence. It is used as a synonym for correctly. In your first sentence right is an adjective modifying answer.
