    Default Can I say that?

    Good evening everyone.

I have a doubt about spelling numbers in English. for example: I have an internet show and, always, when a new series appears, into the intro I need to say: "Welcome to the Nickletopmomentstoday, today is the day 147. I hope you enjoy. Let's begin."
Could I say "..today is the day one fourty seven" instead of ".. today is the day one hundred fourty seven", or it is incorrect?

Sorry for my bad English, I really try to improve it.
    Nickle.

    Nickle.
You could say either of those, but I would drop the word "the" from both. Also, there is no "u" in forty.

NO. Mike said you need to drop 'the'.

Sorry, I'm confused. I thought that I need to drop "the" in sentence, that is, I need to drop it (the) out: "...today is day one forty seven". Is it?

    Sorry for questions

Yes, I'm sorry my use of the word "drop" led you astray.

Nickelxoxo, instead of sending your thanks in a separate message, just click the Like button, please.

The reason is that it is flagged as a new post, so we think you might have a follow-up question or something to add. Those of us with slow internet connections and/or old computers have to waste valuable time waiting for it to appear.

    Thank you.

    Rover
