    Is this gramatically correct?

    The semi-colons used are because my head tells me they are correct, but I do not trust myself. Here it is:
    Most teenagers find parents annoying; a burden, something that they have to put up with; but I’m not like most teenagers.

    Those semicolons are not correct.

    Yes, I could. But if you cannot use semicolons there, what would be your next choice? We are not here just to spoon-feed answers.
