    Question "every other Friday"

What does "every other Friday" means? (I am using Friday just as an example).
Every Friday except for this week?
    I don't get it ...

    Thanks.

Every second Friday- one week, yes, the next week, no.

Another example: The bus goes every other hour. That means the bus goes at 8 o'clock, 10 o'clock, 12 o'clock, 2 o'clock and so on. (Or 7 o'clock, 9 o'clock, 11 o'clock -- but you get the general idea.)
