    Default Will or Would?

    Dear all,

In the dialogues below, which tense should I use?

A: What do you think Mr. Johnson(a math teacher) will say if I forget my homework again?
B: Maybe he will give up on you.

A: What do you think Mr. Johnson(a math teacher) would say if I forgot my homework again?
B: Maybe he would give up on you.

    Thank you

    OP

Either one of those works. The first is a first conditional; the second is a second conditional.
