    shepherd

    Hi teachers,

He is a shepherd. He caused his goats to graze in the field/He takes care of his goats while they are grazing. Please correct the second part.

    Many thanks.

    Re: shepherd

If he has goats, he's a goatherd, not a shepherd. A shepherd looks after sheep.

Why do you think it needs to be corrected?

"He is a shepherd. He caused his sheep to graze in the field. / He takes care of his sheep while they are grazing."

    A bit better?

OK, I understand that but WHY did you think it was not correct or natural? Which part of each of your suggestions did you not think was natural? The construction? The verb? The nouns? The articles? Or did someone else tell you they were incorrect?
