    Default collaborative artist / pianist

    Hello,

I would like to ask a question about the terms collaborative artist / collaborative pianist. I found these in the Wikipedia article about the accompaniment (in music) as possible synonymes for the term accompanist, which, allegedly, are ôreplacing the title accompanistˮin ôsome American schools.ˮ

Could some native speakers tell me more about this?

    Thanks

Sorry, I know nothing about this. It is probably designed to upgrade the image of accompanists.
