    Re: Please delete my account.

I've deleted your thread. An admin has to delete your account.

An administrator will delete your account, but not the thread. We do not delete threads once somebody has taken the time and trouble to post a response.

Can I then at least change the content of the thread since there is too much information than necessary for a question on grammar? I believe I have at least the right to have an access to the content of a message I wrote in order to edit since that seems to be an impossible task on this forum.

It is not at all impossible. Every post you write has an "Edit Post" button in the bottom right-hand corner (just before "Reply"). Click that and you can make any changes you like to the body of your text. Click "Save" once you've finished.

    Hello.
I see the OP's thread was made on 05-Dec-2005, which might explain why it cannot be edited.
I myself tried to edit some of my old posts, but I couldn't.
(I cannot edit the post I created on 31-Aug-2013, for instance.)

    Re: Please delete my account.

Yes, there is a limited time period in which members can edit their post, though moderators are not restricted. Ems forgot this when she posted her last message.

We do not edit posts after they have appeared unless they contain offensive, embarrassing or inappropriate material. We certainly don't edit older posts, though I was prepared to remove Ulku's personal details, as this seemed important to him/her. Our forums are a library of years of questions and responses. We do not change posts at will; after all, none of us can change what has appeared in print.
