- For Teachers
Im a newly qualified English teacher and Ive been thrown into the "deep-end". I have a student (B1.1 Level) who is a very busy Engineer-Design Manager dealing in IT structures. This is very technical and specific area covering structural engineering, materials etc. My problem is that the 1/2 hr lessons are being conducted via a telephone! My student is quite specific in that he wants to practice and build-up on his vocabulary. His problem being that he sporadically speaks in English and tends to forget some terminology, or sometimes has problems understanding english especially with other clients where English is not their first langauge either. He has no problem with reading or writing business correspondence. I would appreciate any advice as to how to conduct such lessons by presenting in authentic contexts via the telephone. Thank-you.
