    Word order

Hi all. Which is the correct word order and why?

1a) The time has come to do sth.
1b) The time to do sth. has come.

2a) You may want to get to know our target better.
2b) You may want to get to know better our target.

    Re: Word order

I'm not sure that 2b is wrong, but it's not at all natural.

1a sounds more natural to my ear than 1b, but 1b doesn't sound terrible.
    2a is quite natural.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

    Re: Word order

So all statements are grammatically correct? Is the only difference in the emphasis and "sounding good"? Maybe someone could recommend further reading on the topic of word order? Thanks!
