    After the inspection..

After the inspection an officer explained that "1) The branch doesn't maintain the file. 2) The branch has not maintained the file 3) The branch didn't maintain the file 4) The branch is not maintaining the file 5) The file is not maintained in the branch." My question is, Which grammar or sentence is appropriate among these 1,2,3,4, and 5.

    I would go with 1.

All the other grammar with that sentences are wrong except 1)? What is the explanation you can give me for 2),3),4), and 5) sentences.

My question is - which grammar or sentence is appropriate among these sentences. 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5.
I don't find any of them very natural for the context but the grammar in 1, 2, 3 and 4 is OK. #5 is very odd.

When you say "maintain the file", do you mean "the file is held at that office and entries are made in the file"?
Remember - correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing make posts much easier to read.
