    Question "Add to Ignore List"

I've wondering for a time now: What are exactly the consequences of including someone in the "ignore list" which appears on the left in everyone's profile? Does it imply simply that the member included cannot contact me by any means or that I won't be able to read their posts, or...? Can the inclusion in the list be reverted? Not being sure, I dare not include anyone there, just in case...
Please be aware that I'm neither a native English speaker nor a teacher.

    Re: "Add to Ignore List"

I am 99.9% certain that it means you can no longer see anything at all that they post (in addition to them not being able to contact you). I'm pretty sure that you can reverse it but I've only ever put one person on ignore (a long time ago) and I have had no reason to consider reversing it so I don't know how I would go about it. I'm sure one of the admins will be able to answer this fully soon.
Remember - correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing make posts much easier to read.

    Re: "Add to Ignore List"

I don't use this feature myself, but I've just added one user to my ignore list, and this is what it looks like:

If you go to settings --> edit ignore list, you can remove a user from your ignore list.
    I am not a teacher.

    Re: "Add to Ignore List"

It keeps you from being annoyed from seeing that person's posts. Kind of like blinders. You can view the "ignored" person's posts on a one-off basis if you like.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
