    Usage of a word heal

    "Acupuncture heals."

I saw the sentence, but I feel like there should be something behind heals like it heals the wound or it heals the sick, etc. Or is it okay to say it like that and it was interpreted as work.

What do you native English speakers think and how do you use it?

Thank you so much as usual and take good care.

The sentence is fine. The verb 'heal' does not always need a direct object.
