    Default He could sense

    Please would you help me with these sentences. I am not sure if I have written them correctly.

    1.He could sense that his parents had the same fear as he did.
    2,His neighbours were angry at the municipality just as he was.

    If you put a comma after "municipality" in #2, they are both OK.

    In the first one, I want to put a "that" where you have "as."
    I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
