Is it common to include "you know" few times during conversation when talking in English? What does it mean when the person said "you know".
Sometimes I see interviews, the person said
... ... ... ... you know ... ... ... ... ... you know ... ...
Is it good or bad to use discourse marker?
What do you feel when the conversation there is discourse marker?
I am not a native English speaker, whenever I speak I do not have the "you know"... I guess discourse marker only happens to someone who is very good in English?
Like I was walking down the street and I like run into Mary. And she is like "Hi", and I am like "Hello to you". Then she like invites me for coffee, and I am like all over that. Continue ad nauseam.
