    Talking 71-come by

    Dear all

    Hello

What does (come by) mean in this sentence?
Governments grants are easier to COME BY, which translates into more money for the stuff who keep the Bunsens burning while the boss is on the road.

    Thanks a million

It means the same as "obtain" in the above sentence.

Another example would be: "I came by a really good book you'd like last week."
