Default we are meant to develop

What does this "are meant to" mean? "We are intended to develop?"

34)It doesnít take longer than a couple of minutes for Jason to memorize and match the names and photos of forty students. It takes Susan only a minute to place pieces of a puzzle together, no matter how complicated it looks. Both begin to realize their unique talent while telling stories to the people around them. Like Jason and Susan, we are all born with talent. Some are good at memorizing sentences, and others are good at making people laugh. The point is how to find such talent in people and let them live with it. Luckily, we human beings have a very special way in which we are meant to develop our potential─education. Itís a true purpose of education to draw what we have inside from us.

I don't think human beings are "meant" to do anything in a certain way. It implies that something or someone deliberately designed us to function in a particular fashion. We develop our potential in one way or another.

I agree with bhai. I don't think "meant" is a good choice there. It usually means "destined" and that would not be the case for everyone.
