    Default Tenses

    Dear Teachers,

    I am confused of the following:

    1) .... to be responsible
    2) .... to be open

    Why didn't we put "ed" to the word "open" and add a "d" in responsible.

    Would appreciate for any feedback.

    They are adjectives, not parts of verbs.
    Please do not edit your question after it has received a response. Such editing can make the response hard for others to understand.
