Why do about half of the folks on television pronounce Alzheimer's with a T between the L and the H?

Welcome to the forums, wreckah.

It comes from the German pronunciation of the name Alois Alzheimer. You'll have to ask them why they like a T in it.

(Or the Italians about 'pizza'.)

The German pronunciation of the letter "z" is "tz".
