Default they way you get your final grade

In school teachers sometimes add up all your scores and average them to give you a final grade, while sometimes they assign certain groups of scores certain ratios to get the final grade, such as quiz 20% lab 50% and project 30%. Is there a name for this method? Thanks.

As a teacher, I'd call it a marking scheme, or grading, but that is for the people giving the grades.

Do I receive a B as my final grade?
My teacher just had surgery and now i have a Sub.
    We did 5 assignments so far and i received a: 100, 100, 100, 100, and a 85.
I did the math and got 97 as my mean. Wouldn't i get an A? Please reply as quickly as you can. Thank you.

    It's 'weighted grading'

Google those words for further info.
