    Default will/going to

    Hi everyone,

Can I use "going to" to make a prediction in sentences marked N2?

    1. When this process begins the Sun will produce enormous amounts of energy.
    2. When this process begins the Sun is going to produce enormous amounts of energy.

    1. When this occurs the core will become hot.
    2. When this occurs the core is going to become hot.

    Thank you.
