When "your throat aches", how does it hurt? The pain here seems to mean that he is so moved that he can't even talk.
30)I understood the innocence of the two children and the power to preserve or destroy that innocence, as Mr. Wigden had understood / those long years ago. I was so filled up with the remembering that my throat ached.

I am not quite sure how it hurts, but he is definitely NOT MOVED by the pain. You can be moved by a song or a story but not pain.

By the way, I have a sub-question for this thread.
"I was so filled up with the remembering that my throat ached.

I have no problem understanding what it means, but I am not quite familiar with the form "with the remembering that". Is it more like written language or what?

Does "the throat aches" have the same meaning as "chock up"?

ex)She chocked up when she began to talk about her mother.

There's no suggestion that he was moved by the pain. He was moved by the remembering, which caused his throat to ache.

The phrase is "to choke up" in BrE. I don't know if "to chock up" exists in another variant.

When you are "choked up", you are on the verge of crying. Usually, when you feel like crying but you are trying to stop yourself, it actually makes your throat hurt. You have that feeling that if you open your mouth to speak, your voice will crack or be very thick with emotion.
