Default more than his father is

    Is John a bigot?

    1-More than his father is.
2-He is a bigot more than his father is.

    Are John's children bigots?

    3-More than their father is.
4-They are bigots more than their father is.

Are sentences 1, 2, 3 and 4 correct in the given contexts?

    Gratefully,
    Navi.

They all seem correct to me. 1 and 3 are quick and conversational, not to be used in writing.

But in my opinion the following are more natural:

    2. "He is more (of) a bigot than ...".
4 "They are more bigoted than ..." or "They are greater bigots than ..."

    I would use:

    Is John a bigot?
More so than his father, yes.
Remember - correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing make posts much easier to read.
