    Default having a cold snap

    Hello,

Could anyone please tell me if it's ok to use the present continuous to talk about cold snaps and other weather conditions, for example

We're having a bit of a cold snap here.
    or
We're having a spell of mild weather here.

    Thank you!

    Yes

(later) Mike is having a good day - he's beaten me to it several times.
