    Default Punctuation: gapping commas

    Hello,

is the following sentence structurally sound? Older and hopefully wiser now,
when I look back on that extemporized and hair-brained moment, I don't know
    which way to think.

    Thanks

Agreed. But I just can't restrain myself from pointing out that it is hare-brained, not hair-brained, and every native speaker of BrE ought to know that.

You are correct, of course. But the word has been misspelled so often, the alternative has made it into dictionaries.

Gad. I can only hope they are American dictionaries. We are more easily excused because we call hares jackrabbits and don't necessarily know the word hare.

Could somebody tell me how to edit my profile. I can't seem to locate a button that would enable me to do this.
